A huge version of the mascot character COMPANION (over 40m in length) with its eyes battened will displayed at the famous camp site in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka prefecture.

KAWS is a contemporary music artist that emerged from street culture that has now attracted attention from all over the world. For the exhibition KAWS:HOLIDAY JAPAN their reception party has attracted VIP guests from all over the world, gathered here at the foot of Mt Fuji.

Many of the VIP attending live streamed via Instagram which has led to the limited edition items sold onsite becoming a hot topic fast.

The enormous COMPANION artwork piece is located right in the centre with many stages and VIP locations scattered around as well as a number of restaurants and booths. The Herschel Supply store have many limited items that feature KAWs signature X symbol that were not original planned for sale but they have about 70 available on this day.

The main stage features performances from local drum acts, DJ from Tei Kowa and Ken Ishii. While Go Out campers will be used to performances from the Ginza Music Bar (DJ Shinichi Osawa) so attendees will be able to enjoy themselves even if it’s raining.

Those who attended via lottery enjoyed setting up their camp sites and tents, buying goods and eating ramen that is only available for today while listening to the drums. Even with the torrential rain everyone seemed to be having a great time.

The Companion will be on display from 19^th July to the 24^th. It is possible to enter the regular campsite and see all of the exhibits but due to high demand we recommend to book via the website first
