COWDEN × GORDON MILLER  “DOKAJAN” WEP JACKET   ¥25300

There are many work wears from east to west, but this work is a unique piece based on the base design of a “Dokajan”, which is a kind of jacket that young Japanese boys often longed for. By reinterpreting this Dokajan with Cowden, it is reborn as a new jacket that mixes American elements with Japanese tradition.

While following the original details derived from Dokajan such as the boa collar and batting, it mixes in the design of the former US NAVY flight jacket the “G-8 (commonly known as a WEP JACKET)”. The G-8’s distinctive front pocket also features a pen pocket and a hand warmer that can be accessed from the side.

Action pleats unique to flight jackets are also used on the shoulders to enable smooth arm movement. It seems to be useful not only while driving a car, but also when setting up a camp site.

This new Dokajan is receiving a lot of attention, which is a modern yet casual redesign of work clothes loved by many Japanese mechanics and workers.
