L’ECHOPPE is a popular select store that sells items from Japan and overseas. They have released their first 22SS complete bespoke collection with the leading fishing-inspired brand DAIWA PIER39. With the theme of “90s outdoor”, the collection features a collection of classical but modern and modern functional wear.

There are two types of unique outerwear available. One is a short jacket that has been developed in the past as a bespoke but uses a new material this time. The second is a completely new shell jacket based on the vintage 90s outdoor fashion that has been re-imagned by DAIWA.

All of them use special materials that are tough but have a soft surface to the touch and retain their shape. Although it looks like cotton, polyester expresses a hard masculinity like horse cloth.

The check shirt is made from heavyweight flannel made of polyester. This makes it lighter compared to the common cotton flannel shirts when fishing as well as being less prone to wrinkles and creasing. The biggest feature is the vintage like pattern.

The zip sweatshirt is also a re-edited version of 90s outdoor vintage. Heavyweight fleece with a cotton touch using spun polyester is used, and the polyester gives it a voluminous feel but with a lightweight finish. Unlike cotton material, the biggest feature of this polyester fleece is that it does not easily change over time such as the discoloration that is common with cotton fleeces.

This bespoke collection from L’echoppe x Daiwa Pier39, has a basic design but with interesting materials, and each has a unique look. It will be on sale at the L’echoppe Shibuya store from Saturday, January 15th, the L’echoppe Sendai store, and the L’echoppe official web store.
