A reprint model of the famous military watch adopted by the US military in the 70’s is now available as a bespoke item by BEAMS PLUS. It is a simple yet impactful watch that faithfully reproduces the details of the time.

BENRUS「TYPE-I:BEAMS PLUS SPECIAL ORDER」¥36300

Established in New York in 1921, “BENRUS” became a watch maker to the US military due to its high technology and practicality. The “TYPE-I”, which can be said to be synonymous with the brand, was adopted by the US military from 1972 to 1980, and at that time it was a model that was regarded as a symbol of military watches.

The “TYPE-I” has been recreated faithfully by reproducing the details from that time. The brand name is removed, and the dial with only the index showing the time and the engraving on the back cover are special specifications unique to this bespoke reproduction that faithfully re-imagines the original. In addition, the bezel of the acrylic insert, the case with enhanced security, the needle that reproduces the shape and phosphorescent specifications, etc., faithfully follow the original with excellent attention to detail. The finished product is robust and impactful, reminiscent of the original from the 70’s.

It will go on sale from March 18, 2022, and pre-orders are currently being accepted at the BEAMS official online shop.
