Japan’s largest outdoor music festival “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL” was postponed in 2020, but the good news is that a kick-off event for 2021 will be held online!

Meanwhile, the outdoor footwear brand “KEEN” from Portland has collaborated with FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’21. In this second installment, shoes inspired by the stars in the night sky at the festival will be released!

This collaboration piece by Keen, who is also an official supporter of Fuji Rock, is a trekking shoe that protects your feet from rain and mud with waterproof functions, and amphibious sandals with reclining properties, that let you enjoy Fuji Rock to the fullest.

The trekking shoes have adopted the original waterproof processing “KEEN.DRY” and have a midsole function that prevents twisting of the foot and a rubber outsole with high grip, which makes them great for wearing at the Fuji Rock venue, which tends to get difficult to traverse due to weather etc.

The specifications are such that you will not get tired even on unpaved roads in the venue, as attendees are said to walk an average of 20,000 steps (10 to 15 km) a day. In addition, a bungee shoe lace is used, which makes them easy to put on and take off even when staying in a tent.

NEWPORT H2 ¥14300

The Newport is easy to walk with soft comfort and cushioning, and is washable and resistant to water. It has become a staple item for festivals and camping, but this collaboration work has a special finish with the Fuji Rock logo on the outside. There are also many reflectors, so you can be rest assured when walking around the venue at night.

Both types of footwear are not only functional, but also have a black base that makes them easy to incorporate into your outfit, and should be useful in everyday outdoor scenes. They will be on sale from January 1, 2021 at the Fuji Rock official website, KEEN’s directly managed stores, and KEEN’s official online store.
